Who Am I

Elder Ralph guy known to all as Chucky was born October 12th 1968 to the late Loretta Woodfaulk and Ralph guy senior I am 1 of 6 children. As a youngster I could be found with my Nana taking me back and forth to church. It was because of my grandmother the late Mother Ruth Swiggett Smith, I found Christ and ministry praying with my grandmother going to church with her teaching me about God about life and how to live a Christian Life! I am at this place today because of her! Growing up in the Methodist Church attending Conferences and Sunday School Conventions going to concerts and services together. Nana was always teaching me about God, the church, his word the anointing and the move of God. I have to speak of her because if it was not for her there would be no me. The life she lived, the life she gave to God was awesome! Praying for fasting the believing God given to the people giving to the church given to the community she never complained it was always “To God be the glory.” It's because of her now I have a praying spirit.

My giving is because of her meetings and needs of others never thinking of myself first like she did. I will never forget the time that we were sitting for dinner and there were children on the block who had no food. They knocked at the door and Nana took our dinner and gave it to them. Nana would say “God will provide now y'all go in the kitchen and find something to eat.” So often I find myself giving like her like I saw her not like she taught me I watched her give as I watched ministers and pastors come and she would go into her bosom of Abraham and come out with a seed of love and give it to him they didn't even ask. I always would say “Nana they got more than us.” she would say “you don't know what they have and what they're going through, we have to make sure that the leaders are properly taken care of.” I guess that's why I serve leadership with a heart of gold because of my Nana. Because of my grandmother leading by example I know the work of the vineyard. I can remember she would say “Don't open your mouth when something is wrong. If you don't have the solution to resolve the situation then you can discuss it because discussing it without resolving it is just gossiping” so I guess that's why when I see things I just went and got it done.

Now a little about me: I received my primary education in Chester upland School district, continuing my higher education through biblical schooling, lancome School of makeup, Estee Lauder School of makeup. My Ministry history, I began in ministry young believe it or not growing up ushering, sitting on the youth choir, Junior trustee. Later moving into leadership as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible teacher, Vacation Bible School director, Church administrator, Jurisdictional coordinator, Minister of protocol and Elder of the Lord's Church. My most passionate ministry in the Church is outreach and to the community, after leaving the Methodist denomination I moved into apostolic/holiness, where I was trained to plan coordinate and put together Bishop's consecrations, pastors consecrations and installation of Apostles consecrations these were some of the most honorable moments of my church history. Becoming the first young person from the city of Chester and the third young person from the state of Pennsylvania to hold the office of National President of the National United Church Ushers Association of America INC. In the Young Adult Department of NUCUAA I was the 14th National President. This historic organization is still in existence and is celebrating over 100 years as a black Christian organization run by laity. Growing up thousands of ushers would come together from all over the United States in one location for 8 days to learn and give God the glory in the ministry of Ushering. Yes I’m an Elder but I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in a tent of wickedness. Usher ministry was my life, I served as Local President of the city of Chester the State President of the state of Pennsylvania the Eastern Regional Director of the East Coast which comprised 10 states and then the National President.

I thank God for his power, one of my side passions was singing. My grandmother taught me my first solo “Is your all on the altar” I went from that to singing on the Youth choir, Inspirational choir and Praise & Worship team to being one of the sermonic soloist of the church even spending a short period of time singing on the Wilmington Chester Mass, At a young age I realize that singing wasn't working for me it was then that ministry and outreach became my life. Church has been a part of my life forever. I grew up at the Spencer UAME church (Chester PA.) under the late Reverend Robert Hardin. After my childhood Church I attended St Luke Christian Community Methodist (Pastor Gilbert Snowden) and a special Church the Community Bible Tabernacle Church ( late Bishop Smith) I attended there with his godfather growing up Elder Laurence Dixon ,coming to Philadelphia I went to Holy Ground (Pastor Calvin Craft) New Life Church( Late Bishop Robert Lee Busey Sr) Rhema Deliverance Cathedral( Apostle Vance Dash Sr.) and now I attend New Life Christian fellowship, Pastor/Sergeant Antonio Bennett.

I’ve been an event planner for 30+ years, Assistant to the RH Macy’s Merchant Buyers as well as a Makeup artist for lancome and Estée Lauder.

My outreach in the community means the world to me. Yearly you can find me making sure that the community children have school supplies, backpacks ,uniforms, underwear ,socks ,haircuts and hair braiding. Assuring the community had toys for Christmas meeting the personal needs of families, organizing an organization in memory of my grandmother that gives out bikes in the city of Chester where our roots grow. This Ministry thinks of the needs of the people at large in and outside of church. Although I was never chosen to have biological children, God has given me 2 beautiful children and 6 grandchildren believe it or not 4 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, biological and spiritual and a host of spiritual children that he has adopted along the years.

Thank You God!

God I thank you for my journey, no matter what I never stop fighting, never stop giving you praise, never stop loving you and thanking you because you brought me out of cancer twice, a heart attack, several different bypasses maybe about 14 operations to save legs I don't have, but I still thank you. I have no other choice but to give you praise even when I coded and thought I was on my way out you said Not So! I thank you even for right now. Where I'm about to go, I thank you. I thank you for everything I went through because it made me who I am in you and has drawn me closer to you. Your word is true that the prayers of the righteous availeth much and you said when one or two touch and agree you would be in the midst, again I say thank you for you told me that “the healing is the children's bread” again I thank you.

"I am a walking, talking, breathing miracle. I am who I am because of you!”
